Fashion Week is right around the corner in New York city, what do you expect to see on the runways this February? Which trends will die? Which will live?

The captains of fashion in 2010 navigated us through animal prints (Leila Shams takes it to the extreme this year with giant horses above), corky wedges (Loeffler Randall updates the look pictured above), and so much fur! Which trends do you want gone? Or to stay forever?

Fresh Faces: Refinery29 alerted us to the next hot designers coming out of Brooklyn! Get ready for classic shapes embellished with wild prints. One designer to look out for: Leila Shams.

Ecco Domani: One of my favorite jewelry designers Pamela Love is one of the Ecco Domani jewelry design grant winners. Her edgy mixed metal collections featuring talons, claws and crystals are just gorgeous! Pictured above top right.

Fur: In 1989, West Hollywood (my old stomping ground) was proclaimed a “cruelty-free zone for animals”. Today they want to be the first city to ban fur all together! What do you think about that?

Video vs. Runway: Style.com made us note the new line Co, a collection of knitted furs and silk and cashmere staples. There will be no runway show for this design duo, they debuted their first collection in video:

What are your fashion expectations for 2011?
